Teacher's day and its importance

Teachers Day is a special day dedicated to teachers. By the way, Teacher's Day is celebrated globally on 5 october, But the tradition of celebrating Teacher's Day in India started on 5 September 1962, It is celebrated on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which was the first Vice President and Second President of India.
Now this tradition has taken the form of a celebration which is celebrated with pomp at places like schools, colleges, coaching institutes etc. But today, the main objective of celebrating Teacher's Day, we have been forgetting those objectives and only celebrating birthday.

Why we celebrate Teacher's Day

There is a purpose behind celebrating any day and that is protection.Whenever important things start to lose their existence, the day begins to save or remind them. The teacher is known as the builder of the society, that is, the teacher is the Pillar of the society, who acts to give a new direction to the society. For this reason, teaching is considered a noble profession. The position and prestige of the teacher is highest in the society. For this reason, Teacher's Day is celebrated to remind the teachers of their responsibility and to explain their role in the society.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was the first Vice President and second President of India, was a teacher and contributed 40 years as a teacher. When he served as President in 1962, his disciples and those who liked him proposed to celebrate his birthday. Then Mr. Radhakrishnan said that I will be proud if you guys celebrate this 5 september which is my birthday as Teachers' Day. Due to his high views and commendable efforts towards education and teachers, 5 September is celebrated every year on his birthday as Teachers' Day.

"A teacher is not one who forcibly falsifies facts in the minds of students,
Rather, the teacher is the one who prepares for the challenges of tomorrow.
 Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

Importance of Teacher's day

Every little thing is important in human life. Teachers play an important role in building a society.
