National Park  

The national park is an area which declared for the purpose of protecting, propagating, or developing wildlife for its environment. In this area, Human Activities like that grazing, forestry, hunting, cultivation, encroachment, distractions of habitat, and other activities are strictly prohibited. Also settlements.
National parks covered under the wildlife Act 1972.  Jim Corbett National Park (Uttrakhand) is the first National Park of India. Its old name is Hailey National Park, which was established in 1936. Jim Corbett is also included in UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Wildlife Sanctuary 


The Sanctuary is also declared for the developing wildlife or its environment,  just like a National Park, but some rules are different. In the wildlife sanctuary, human activities are allowed such as grazing, firewood collection, tourism, etc. 
A sanctuary can be upgraded as a National Park.

Jim Corbett National Park

Corbett Park is the first National park of India, which was established in 1936 in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Its oldest name is Hailey National Park
This National Park spread over 1318 square kilometers in Nainital and Pauri District.
More than 500 Species and Migrant birds are living in this park. Mostly founded species are Tigers, Elephants, Deers, Brown Bears, Chital, Leopard, etc.

Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park is situated in Golaghat and Nagaon District of Assam. Kaziranga established in 1908 as a park only, after Assam National Park Act 1968, it converted into National Park. 
Kaziranga National Park spread over 430 square kilometers between Golaghat and Nagaon districts.
This National Park included in the UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985.
In this parking lot of species are found. But one-horned Rhinoceros is most important. Apart from this other animals like Wild boar, water buffalo, Hog, Gaur, Sambhar, Indian muntjac, etc are found here.

Sundarbans National Park

Sundarban National Park is situated in 24 Pargana District of  West Bengal
Sundarbans delta declared as a Tiger Reserve in 1973, as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1977, and declared as a National Park in 1984
Sundarban National Park is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage site in  1987 and the Ramsar wetland site in 2019.
This National Park spread over 1330 square kilometers on the delta areas. The mangrove forest is mostly found in this region.
Royal Bengal tigers are mostly found here. Apart from this other species like Flying fox, Saltwater Crocodile, Deer and so many Varieties of Bird are found them.

Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore is especially known as Tiger Reserve, but it's declared as a National Park in 1980.
Ranthambore National Park is situated in Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan.
The total acquired area of the National Park is 282 square kilometers.
 The main species found here are Royal Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopard, Hyena, Wild Boar, Nilgai, Sambhar, Sloth Bear, Deer, etc.

Kanha National Park

Kanha National Park is also known as a Kanha-Kisli National Park. It is the largest park of Madhya Pradesh, situated in Mandla and Balaghat District. 
Kanha was established in 1933 as a wildlife sanctuary, In 1955 it's declared as a National Park and It is also listed in 1974 as a Tiger Reserve.
Kanha National Park is spread over 940 square kilometers between Mandla and Balaghat district of MP.
The National Park has a significant population of the Royal Bengal Tigers, Barasingha, Leopard, Wild Dogs, Chital, etc.
