International and National days of India are the most relevant topics of general awareness for the competitive examination, like Railway, Banking, SSC, PCS, and others.
There are three National Days of India declared by the government of India, which are Republic Day (26 January), Independent Day(15 August), and Gandhi Jayanti (2 October).

What are national days?
A national day is an important date or day in the country that shows the nationality of the country. When a country gets autonomy or a new territory arises and there is any kind of social or judicial change for the nation, this momentous day becomes of public prestige and is marked as a national day. A country may have more than one national day, which is announced by the government on behalf of the public demand and generally on this day the government declares a public holiday.
Why are national days celebrated?
Here I would like to say that there are two reasons to celebrate any days -
The first is remembered for the most important contributions such as Independence Day, Kargil Day, Republic Day, etc.
While the second reason is when someone's existence is in danger, to provide protection to conserve them or to spread consciousness of something important, like Environment Day, Diabetes Day, Teacher Day, Earth Day, etc.
